Australian journalist Cheng Lei has been formally arrested in China after being held by authorities for nearly six months. Speaking to The World, Dr. Graeme Smith from ANU's Department of Pacific Affairs says China could already have all the evidence it needs to proceed with prosecution, and the chances of her escaping charges "seem fairly slim".
